I am very excited to be a part of this prestigious festival this year. Full Contact Scrabble will be screening this Wednesday, 10 pm at the Laemmle Sunset 5 Hollywood theater located at 8000 Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood. I’ll be there along with one of the stars of the film, Jenn Cobb.
Before the show we’ll be meeting at the gently exclusive and fabulously elegant Bar Marmont, 8171 Sunset Blvd where they are serving an LA Shorts specialty drink. I don’t what it is, but it is 1/2 price in celebration of the fest.
The LA Shorts Festival is the only film festival to have six award categories recognized by the the Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts and Sciences, and our film is competing in one of them. The Awards Ceremony is Friday, July 30th.
So, come out to the theater and show your support for independent filmmaking and Full Contact Scrabble! See you there!

Our little film took second prize in Samy’s Camera HDSLR Contest and we couldn’t be happier!
The contest was sponsored by Samy’s Camera of Southern California and judged by esteemed HDSLR professionals Shane Hurlbut, Alexx Henry and Frank Rohmer.

“Full Contact Scrabble” has been selected to be part of the 14th annual LA Shorts Fest July 22 – 30, 2010. The LA Shorts Fest prides itself on being the premier short film festival of the world. In past years, 33 participating films have earned Academy Award nominations, with 11 filmmakers actually taking home the Oscar. We are honored to be a part of the festival this year.
I will post the schedule just as soon as it is published. and would be delighted to see all of our friends and fans at the screening.

Third Screen Film Festival brings Emerging Filmmakers to Hollywood Gatekeepers by screening them on the web and having the viewers rate the films. Full COntact Scrabble is currently in the semi final round. You can go to the website to see the film and rate it. The more high ratings it gets the better it’s chances of winning. Uncategorized As you may know by now, Full Contact Scrabble will have it’s World Premiere at the Los Angeles Comedy Festival on Sunday, May 9 at 8pm and there are scheduled parties around the festival before and after our screening. Here are the details:
The screening will take place at the famous ACME Comedy Theater in Hollywood, 135 N. La Brea Ave., Los Angeles, 90036. We will be part of a block of short films entitled Men, You Gotta Love Them. You can get tickets here.

There will be a kick-off party for the festival on Thursday, May 6th from 5:30 to 7:30 at Amalfi, which is right next door to the theater. The party will be upstairs in room 5.
There will also be a gathering at Amalfi after the screening of our film, so come out and join us on Sunday evening for some hilarious films and a chance to socialize.

We are proud to announce that our film will have it’s World Premiere at the Los Angeles Comedy Festival on Sunday, May 9, 2010 at the Acme Theater.
The Comedy Festival is a celebration of stand-up, sketch comedy and funny films that goes on for 15 hysterical days, but the only important one os Sunday the 9th, when our film will screen. 8PM at the Famous Acme Comedy Theater which is located at 135 N. LaBrea. For tickets and more information go here.

Full Contact Scrabble was shot entirely on a Canon 5D Mark II camera, which is the overall qualifier for the contest. Final judging will be done by Shane Hurlbut, Alexx Henry and Frank Rohmer. You can see the finalists here, and add comments, or give us the “thumbs up!
